Prior to founding Diogenes Group of Washington, John worked at the American Petroleum Institute as the Research Manager in the Office of the General Counsel. While at API, John prepared research memoranda for the General Counsel on energy transition issues, climate modeling, Attribution Science, geopolitical issues primarily focused on Russia and China, U.N. Intergovernmental Panel on Climate Change reports, NGO activity, and academic works relevant to the work of the General Counsel. 

Previously. John worked for a consulting firm he founded for 15 years. His focus was on providing briefings and intelligence reporting on state and federal legislative and regulatory issues. Over that time span he covered a myriad of issues in the energy, financial services, housing, technology, and healthcare sectors. His clients included hedge fund managers and analysts at the largest financial institutions in the world. John began his career in Washington as a report for Institutional Investor. 

John is a graduate of The Johns Hopkins University in Baltimore, MD. 

When not working John enjoys films, the Washington Nationals, and the Washington Capitals.
